LA Auto Show Porsche

During the La Auto Show Porsches primary focus was marketing their brand new model the Macan. This new five-seat SUV targets rivals such as the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 and is the little brother to the renowned Porsche Cayenne. Porsche claims it will be sportier and more efficient than any SUV on the market in its price range.

The Macan will come in three familiar porsche trims; the Macan S Diesel, Macan S, and Macan Turbo.
The diesel version will have a 3.0 V6 engine which produces 258 hp and can reach 62 mph in 6.3 seconds. The Macan S will be equipped with a more powerful 3.6 liter V6 biturbo engine capable of producing 340 hp and hitting 62 mph in 5.4 seconds. The last and most powerful trim of the Macan will boast a 400 hp engine that is able to hit 62 mph in a mere 4.8 seconds. Keep in mind, there are very few SUVs currently offered that can post sub 5 second 0 - 60 times.

Porsche expects to build a whopping 50,000 Macans per year. With the new Macan porsche is trying to fill a gap that it had in its lineup. If the Macan turns out to be a success, Porsche will maintain its financial stability and continue to make amazing cars like the 911.

Although the Porsche Macan reveal was impressive, our attention was - not surprisingly - drawn elsewhere in Porsches section of the Auto Show. The plethora of 911s and the all new limited edition 918 Spyder completely stole our attention.

On scene was a GT3, 911 Turbo, and 911 Turbo S. Each of these cars commands your respect in a way no other car could. The pure beauty and sportiness of these 911 models is unique and unmatched in the auto world. Porsche will continue to be a world leader in the auto industry. There were little changes to the Porsche 911 model for the year of 2014; only with Porsche are we more than completely fine with that.
