2015 Ford Fusion SE 2 5 Review Rental

2015 Ford Fusion SE 2.5 Review Rental -

front quarter

The dog startled me as much as I probably surprised. A blind corner coming up on a tree branch hanging low, and too much on early aggression tarmac morning dew sparkled conspired to similar canine and human frown. The stability control kicks in a few moments after oversteer presented too bright taillights Fusion Fido.

No, you do not read the bad review. Its just been too long since I drive a car that the mobile part of my personal fleet of SUVs and variety of minivan - none of which has a sporty ride height. The sports car in my fleet was a shelf for a few years now, failures victim cascade, including the "can not take two children and equipment for football in a Miata fault who dedicated so much sportscars for generations. So to be let loose on beautiful backroads in a low car is exhilarating.

This record was a solo getaway early morning in the 2015 Ford Fusion SE after practice a few hours with the family. Two spoiled children through entertainment mounted on the roof were clearly uncomfortable with the poorly equipped sedan at first. They would have to manage with the few movies loaded on their shelves like cavemen.

The first step of our journey quickly quieted gir ls highway expansion joint that usually marked jar awake on the trip to the grandparents were well muffled by solid chassis and suspension Fusion well damped. The journey may not have been consistent had larger wheels than the base 17 inchers been installed, but the 235-section Michelins were silent -. Except for the brief encounter dog

rear quarter

The Fusion was a stunner for several years now. As ubiquitous as it is, Im going to crane my head when a well-equipped Platinum Edition is near. Ford has done a great job in keeping the freshness of the car, grille and Aston-inspired

That said, the small 17-inch wheels do not hide the essential as well as their larger counterparts -. There is a lot of sheet metal above the wheel arches seen from the side. The beltline crease extending toward the rear projectors will visually break, extending the car. The flat-black covers for fog lamp opening is disappointing.

At the rear, the near-fastback profile of the rear window flows almost seamlessly into the trunklid, both longer and lowering the car visually. I love this view. While the trunk is quite high, necessarily leaving a high sheetmetal slab and flexible bumpers, the hexagonal platform for the registration plate (wide enough to Euro plates) breaks the monotony and echoes the gr ille cleverly

interior

basic black is the order of the day inside the base Fusion, although the surrounding matte aluminum center console breaks things up a bit. The cloth seats are remarkably comfortable thanks to their power adjustable six ways that allowed many options when driving long distances. Interestingly, the inflatable lumbar support becomes firm and uncomfortable when the car start after sitting in the cold for hours; deflation it briefly seemed to fix the problem.

When trying to pair my phone with the Samsung infotainment basic SYNC system, I was stymied for the first day. The owners manual was missing, then I turned to Google. No dice. The menus that appear should have were not. Only by pure chance I realize that the car needed to be in the park to pair a phone.

SYNC worked well after my bout of idiocy. Stream music was almost as clear as a proper CD. The lack of a touch screen is surprising, however, and the tracks change attempts often leads to increased volume or reduces the speed of cruise control as the thumb controls on the steering wheel are not well defined for use eye-up.

dashboard

I can have flat-spotted the right front Michelin as I charged through the Appalachian foothills of southeastern Ohio at a pace a little character for a family sedan than two tons. The car was firmly planted as I dove for each vertex. Aborting automatic transmission with six speeds mode "Sport" maintained the transmission in lower gears much more readily than the standard mode "Drive", although the toggle switch "manually" select workings is misplaced. Useless, too, as it entirely too early upshift approach redline. Not al lowing simply "the box include the answer to fun times in the Merger.

I still think about training a few weeks later, which is remarkable for a US-spec sedan fleet. Before driving the Fusion, I would have chosen the Agreement without hesitation if you are pressed to recommend a family sedan. Not anymore. The Fusion head my list as a great value, with unparalleled ride and good fun in the twisties.

Oh, and the dog is still in one piece.
