The popularity of the SUV 190 Subaru caught by surprise. The company simply does not have a product that everyone wanted. From the outside, the system in two shades of the original has been reduced, fog lights became smaller and the more pronounced roof rack, but as two box on stilts can not be mistaken for other than an Outback.

The front seats are comfortable, but the head res traints could use a tilt adjustment and lower cushions could be longer. Someone at Subaru finally understood that the heated seat buttons are invisible when they are located under the center armrest and moved them to the climate control panel. The rear seat is wide with plenty of leg and head room. The backrest is split 60/40, but there is no pass-thru center, so skiers with more than two rear passengers must use fleshy-looking roof rack. This roof support itself is functional, also with standard crossbars which slide and fold into the rails when they are not used. There are also four securing loops that can provide up to 150 pounds of cargo.
With a ground clearance and a high center of gravity, Subaru does not intend to make a car the driver of the Outback. The 2.5-liter engine pancakes will also not impress anyone with its 175hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. Worse, this engine is attached to a continuously variable transmission. This combination makes the powertrain buzzy sound whiney and turn an otherwise quiet cabin noisy.
